My Lucky Train Getting Started
Join Roblox, finish All Aboard!, attach a short train, and start selling ores.
My Lucky Train is a free Roblox simulation tycoon by Mr. Tuff Guy Games. It released on 24 July 2026. Your first session is not a boss fight and it is not a solo sandbox. You join a 5-player server, you receive a personal train, and you share an online island with the other people who loaded in. This page is the day-one route: join, finish the tutorial, roll and attach carts, start the ore loop, spend cash without panic, and know when the first rebirth is even worth reading about.
Join from Roblox
Open Roblox on PC, phone, or tablet. Search for My Lucky Train or launch it from the experience page. The game is free to play. After the load, you are in a server that holds up to five players. Expect to see other trains and other people walking the island. Your carts attach to your train, not theirs, but ore spots and later challenge space are shared. Do not play as if you can pause the whole map.
If the client asks for movement or camera permission on mobile, accept it. You will need a thumbstick and a look control before the tutorial prompts make sense. Details of WASD, jump, camera, and interact live on controls. Come back here for what to do; go there for how to point the camera at the lever.
Finish the tutorial for All Aboard!
The first badge is All Aboard!. The official text is that you complete the tutorial and begin your journey as a railway engineer. Almost everyone who finishes onboarding gets it. Do not skip prompts, do not jump off the map to “explore,” and do not open every menu looking for a code box. Follow the tutorial until it lets go.
All Aboard! is a freebie-style badge. It proves you completed the intro, not that you rolled a Legendary cart. If it does not pop, you are still inside the tutorial. Stay with the arrows and proximity prompts until the game treats you as a regular player.
Pull the lever and attach the first carts
The core gacha verb is simple: pull the lever and roll unique carts. Early carts will not be named here because this wiki does not invent cart names. Whatever you roll, the next verb is attach it to your growing train. Walk up to the cart and the train, use the interact prompt or the on-screen attach control, and confirm the cart is actually coupled before you wander off to the island.
A train with zero carts is a decoration. A train with a few attached carts is the start of production. You do not need a perfect roll on minute ten. You need something attached so the rest of the loop has a vehicle to upgrade later.
If a roll looks worse than what you already coupled, do not assume you must delete the old one. Until you have read upgrades and the Cart Index, default to attaching new unique carts and leaving the train longer rather than gambling every slot.
Start the ore loop
Cash comes from the island, not from staring at the lever. Travel the shared island, collect ores, smelt them, and sell the result. That cash pays for more rolls, cart and train upgrades, production upgrades, and later railways. The dedicated article is ores and smelting. For day one you only need the rhythm:
- Leave the train with empty or nearly empty inventory.
- Collect ores you can actually carry.
- Return, smelt, and sell.
- Spend a slice of cash. Repeat.
Do not invent ore names while you learn. Judge rocks by how fast they fill a slot versus how much cash they return after smelting. If one trip fills you with junk that sells for almost nothing, the next trip should hunt denser value even if you walk farther. Other players can be on the same island; if a node is contested, move rather than standing in someone else’s prompt.
The official description states that your train keeps working while you are away. That is permission to take breaks. Load the line, sell what you have, and log out if you need to. Offline progress is part of the design, not a bug you must cancel by staying AFK in a 5-player server all night.
When to upgrade versus when to roll
Day-one cash disappears fast if you treat every glowing button as mandatory. Use a simple split:
- Roll when the train is short and you still have empty attach space. New unique carts feed both length and the Cart Index.
- Upgrade when you already have carts attached but smelting, selling, or movement along the railway feels like the bottleneck. Production and train upgrades exist so the loop prints more cash per trip.
- Save when neither side is starving. The next railway, area, or rebirth will want a pile of cash, and spreading coins across every menu usually delays all three.
If you cannot name whether you are rolling, upgrading, or saving, stop clicking. Stand at the sell point, count the cash, and pick one of those three. upgrades is the page for carts, train, and production once you have more than a handful of coins. This getting-started page will not invent prices.
Promo codes are not confirmed. Glance at codes if you want to see the current status, then come back to the lever. Do not stall the tutorial hunting for a redeem UI that may not exist.
First rebirth is a teaser, not a speedrun
A Fresh Start is the badge for your first rebirth. About half of players have it, which means the first reset is a normal tycoon step, not a 0.8% tower flex. You still should not rebirth in the first ten minutes. Play until upgrades feel expensive relative to a session of mining and selling, until extra rolls stop changing your income, or until you are about to log off for a long stretch and want a boost sitting under offline train progress.
When that stall shows up, stop guessing multipliers and read rebirth. Roblox tycoons typically reset some spendable progress and keep lasting boosts plus collection. The in-game rebirth panel is the source of truth for this game. This page will not invent a cash multiplier or a list of what is deleted.
Badges you can see from a healthy first day, in rough order of how the population actually earns them: All Aboard! from the tutorial, Legendary Discovery if you get lucky on a Legendary-or-better cart (about 24.5% of players), A Fresh Start on the first rebirth (about half), then much later Towering Ambition at Tier Tower 3 (about 0.8%) and Master Collector for a full Cart Index (about 0.2%). Do not chase the last two on day one.
A clean first-session checklist
- Join My Lucky Train on Roblox and accept that four other people may share the island.
- Finish the tutorial and take All Aboard!.
- Pull the lever, attach the carts you rolled, and confirm they are on the train.
- Run at least one full ore trip: collect, smelt, sell.
- Spend cash on either a roll or an upgrade, not both at random.
- Note that the train can keep working after you leave.
- Bookmark rebirth for when production stalls, not for the first lucky cart.
If the session ends with a short train, a few stacks smelted, and a clear idea of what cash is for, you started correctly. The second session should be faster because the verbs are already known.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
How do I start My Lucky Train on Roblox?
Open Roblox, search for My Lucky Train, and join. The experience is free. You land in a 5-player server with a personal train and a shared online island.
What does the All Aboard! badge mean?
It is awarded for completing the tutorial. Finish the onboarding prompts. It is not a rarity flex and it is not tied to rebirth or Tier Tower.
Should I upgrade first or keep rolling carts?
Roll and attach if the train is still short. Upgrade production, carts, or the train when the ore loop is the bottleneck. Save if neither side is starving. See upgrades once you have a spend plan.
When is my first rebirth?
After a session of mining and selling no longer buys meaningful upgrades. About half of players have A Fresh Start. Read rebirth before you confirm the reset.
Are there codes I should redeem on day one?
No codes are confirmed. Check codes for the live list. Do not delay the tutorial or the first ore trip to hunt a redeem box.
